Co-owners Chris and Misha met while working at Oyster Club in Mystic, CT. Chris is a Stonington native.  He has been cooking since an illegal age and is one of the fastest oyster shuckers around.  Misha moved out East from California on a whim and now considers Connecticut home. She spent summers during her undergraduate years working in kitchens and has put her philosophy degree to work in restaurants and bakeries ever since.  

While living together on a boat in Noank, CT, they had dreams of bringing their culinary skills together and opening a small cafe with really great food. They opened Washington Street in October 2012.
